- Registration
- Registration for 2027 will open “during 2027”, according to the club, which will publish the races and prices on the edition page. In 2026 entries opened on 30 January on njuko, online only, with limited places: the race sold out and the club set up a bib exchange. FFTri licence or a Licence Expérience bought at registration; no entries on the day. Refunds only for medical reasons, at least 10 days before the race.
The 2026 course
In L’Épine: bibs were collected at the harbour master’s office of the Port du Morin, and the 2026 tracks start from that area. M bike: three flat loops of about 13 km (under 10 m of altitude according to the track), with the highway code applying, as the rules require. Run: two loops of about 5 km for the M, one for the S, also flat.
What the race asks of your training
A flat, non-drafting Olympic distance
The M bike leg is three loops on flat ground, non-drafting, with time-trial bikes allowed. Blocks of 10 to 20 minutes at threshold on the aero bars, within your weekday rides, prepare you for this continuous effort.
Wind rather than hills
On a flat seaside course, it is the wind that changes your pace from one loop to the next. Better to ride at a constant effort, by feel or by power, than at a constant speed, and keep something in reserve for the headwind sections.
Wetsuit depending on temperature
The rules follow the FFTri: wetsuit mandatory below 16 °C, banned from 24.5 °C. For an early-June race, a few open-water swims in May, with and without a wetsuit, help with sighting and holding your rhythm.
Running fast out of transition
The 10 km is run in two flat loops. Bricks of riding followed by 15 to 20 minutes at target pace, and threshold run sessions, teach you to find your stride straight away; the cut-offs (3h30 in total) leave a beginner some margin.

Why this plan works
Science-based periodisation
Base → build → specific → taper, with a recovery week every 3 to 4 weeks. Load goes up, but never two hard weeks in a row without a breather.
Paces, not vague feelings
Every session has target zones (pace, HR) computed from your MAS or a reference performance. A MAS test is built into the plan if you don't know yours.
Three disciplines, one load
Swim, bike and run are planned together: brick sessions, key sessions spread out, and a coherent total load week after week.
A plan that listens
After each session you rate how it felt (RPE). Too hard? The plan eases what follows. Skipped a session? It reschedules or absorbs it.
On your watch
On Garmin with the Endu app, on COROS by direct sync: the guided workout shows up on your wrist, step by step.

Frequently asked questions
- When is the 2027 Noirmoutier triathlon?
- The club announces the weekend of 5 and 6 June 2027, without giving the day of each race yet. In 2026 the XS and the S were held on Saturday 6 June and the M on Sunday 7 June at 9 am.
- When does registration for the 2027 Noirmoutier triathlon open?
- The club says they will open during 2027, with no date yet. In 2026 they opened on 30 January and the race sold out.
- Is drafting allowed on the M?
- No. The M is the only non-drafting race, and the only one where time-trial bikes and aero bars are allowed. The XS and the S are draft-legal.
- How much does the Noirmoutier triathlon cost?
- In 2026: €25 for the XS, €35 for the S, €45 for the M and €54 per team for the M relay, plus the Licence Expérience for non-licensed athletes. 2027 prices are not published.
- Triathlon de Noirmoutier: how many weeks of preparation?
- For an athlete at intermediate level, Endu builds a 15-week preparation. If your race is closer, the plan compresses phases while keeping the taper; if it's further away, it lengthens the preparation, and when the gap is large the preparation starts right away, gently and at your current volume, before building up.
- Is this plan well built?
- Pass at Endu’s plan check, the same as for any plan: 19 of 19 checks passed. A 15-week build (recommended minimum: 8); a longest run never more than 8% above the previous month’s; 83% of the time at easy effort; a taper cutting volume by 66% in race week. The rules and their sources are public on endu.fr/en/controle-technique.
- How many sessions per week?
- This example has 5 sessions per week. You choose 4 to 7 training days and the exact days (e.g. Tue, Thu, Sat, Sun): the plan sticks to them.
- I'm a beginner, is this plan for me?
- The plan adapts to your declared level (beginner to semi-pro): starting volume, progression and intensity change. Endu also offers a "Discovery" mode without a race to build a base first.
- Can I follow sessions on my watch?
- Yes, on Garmin and COROS. On Garmin, the Endu app (Connect IQ Store) shows today’s session and starts it as a guided workout. On COROS, link your account from your profile: your running, trail and cycling sessions land in the watch calendar. Other brands are not supported yet.
- How much does it cost?
- 14-day free trial, then €7.99/month with no commitment or €59.88/year (€4.99/month). Unlimited objectives and sports.
